Hi there,

We're using FOX - Currency Switcher Professional for WooCommerce v.2.4.2.2, alongside CTX Feed Professional, to provide GBP and Euro options on our client's WooCommerce site, and to generate their Google Shopping feeds.

The currency switcher works perfectly on the front-end of the website.

We have two Google Shopping feeds setup. One is in GBP and the other is in Euros. The Euros feed is producing the correct Euro prices for the sale_price attribute in the Google merchant centre, but the regular"price" attribute is producing the GBP value instead. For example, a product that should be €150 is showing a value of 124.81 in the"price" attribute.

This has resulted in 3700 disapprovals in Google Merchant Centre.

I have linked screenshots showing the feed configuration below - please can you advise how/why this would be happening and how we can fix it?

Do you use any third-party price change plugins (discounts, subscriptions, options, etc.)?

Hi Pablo, thanks for your message - private data has been added.

No we are not using any third party price change plugins, only FOX - Currency Switcher Professional for WooCommerce v.2.4.2.2.

Many thanks.

Hi again, we have purged the various caches through the process (CTX Feed, server cache, Shoptimised etc.) and the issue has now resolved itself!

So thanks anyway but no further action required!

Best,

Simon

Ok! Greate!

Please write to me if the error occurs again.

Hi Pablo, hope you're well.

The issue has reoccurred :(

The euros feed is now sending out links to pages in GBP again. Last time we cleared the cache and it was resolved, but we need a more permanent solution.

I have updated the login credentials on this post, please could you help me to diagnose?

Many thanks,

Simon

Hello Simon

Ok! I changed some settings. Please clear all cache and do a test

Thank you Pablo, we will let you know. Can you confirm what settings you changed, so we know?

Yes.

these options - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20241021134357.png and https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20241021134422.png

Great - many thanks for your help.

It seems to have worked - however we will only know in the next week if the issue recurs as the cache builds. Will let you know but hopefully it's now resolved :)

Thanks again!

Welcome;)

Hi Pablo, hope you're well. The currency converter function at the top-right of the website pages seems slow to load on some products, since the changes you made yesterday. Is there anything we can do to improve this?

Thanks again,

Simon

Hi Pablo, unfortunately we are still having issues with the Euro feed - The correct price is now populating in the feed, but Google still shows a mismatch because it's identifying a GBP price from somewhere on the product page.

Looking in the source code for one particular product, the GBP price of 839.00 is still present in the code, even when on the Euro version of the page:

view-source:https://homecentredirect.co.uk/product/sherwood-12kw-dry-eco/?currency=EUR

See image of the source code snippet here.

Please can you advise? Our client is losing sales through their PPC currently due to the disapproved products.

Thanks,

Simon

Hi - it looks like we might have resolved the Google Feed issue.

We switched on"Disable [reset currency] for bots" and"Selected currency in Schema.org", and the GBP price no longer appears in the source code of the Euro page.

The slow loading issue is still a problem at times though - any suggestions would be welcome.

Many thanks,

Simon

Hello Simon

Great!

The slow loading issue is still a problem at times though - any suggestions would be welcome. - Describe this in more detail. How do you measure speed?

Hi Pablo, in some cases, the currency function takes about 3 seconds to load (when loading a new page or switching between currencies), with the blue loading dots going around in this time. The site page load speeds are 0.5-1 second so the currency function definitely takes longer.

Thanks a lot.

URGENT - PLEASE ADVISE

Hi Pablo, the pricing mismatch issue is still happening in Google.

Google has this link, which has the Euro currency reference on the end, but for some reason it's still loading the GBP page:

https://homecentredirect.co.uk/product/oak-pattern-10-glazed-2l-bi-fold-door/?attribute_size=1981+x+762+x+35+(30%22)&currency=EUR

This is getting really urgent as the client is losing sales in a key market. The load speed issue can wait but we really need a fix on the pricing mismatch.

Please can you advise asap.

Thanks.

Ok! it's just CSS animation.  The plugin waits for the page to fully load and then makes an Ajax request to check the current currency. And if necessary, the plugin redraws the currency. In any case, it directly depends on the page loading speed.

You can turn off this animation - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20241023134957.png

Thanks Pablo, but that setting is already off...

Is that product URL definitely correct? When I open it in an incognito window, it takes me to the GBP page...
