We've got this plugin sorting out our international shipping requirements for a few months, and there are two errors we'd like to report and resolve with your team. The issue, we believe, relies on the currency exchange rate. Site: piet.com.ar

Our settings involve geoIP, and we use € on European Union countries and U$D on everything outside our country, with fixed prices (not convertible). However, the exchange rate needs to be set on the currencies tab, and that generates an X value, which we are seeing on the first problem.

1 | Whenever we set a product variable to have a fixed price (our product values are set within the product variables, among with WOOCS), on the front end, we'd get : 1 [actualprice]. That"1", we believe comes from the currency exchange rate value. Or whichever the reason, it's getting that X value from somewhere. We'd need the fixed prices to be shown as regular prices, otherwise we can't use the actual promotion function. What could be a good workaround?

2 | It only happened 6 times, and a few months back, but a few sales were actually made at the $1 rate (talking about +40, +200). Luckily it's been a while since this repeated, but wouldn't it be connected to the same matter at hand?

It's really important for us to get this covered ASAP, or else we'd like to get a refund for the plugin and look elsewhere for a solution that matches the functionality without this bug. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
Ignacio Rusconi

Hello Ignacio

1) Please  drop  me  exact  link  to the  issue. Can  I disable  plugins  to test?

2) Perhaps this is a conflict with a third-party plugin. Check these orders, perhaps the payment was on one payment system or all of these products had discounts

Hi Pablo, this error occurs at any point throughout the store (i.e. https://piet.com.ar/store/).

If you want to replicate the issue, and our abroad, just access the link and you'll see the issue described on most products. Otherwise, please use a VPN set on the Americas (Opera browser works, free and built in).

I given you admin access over the private data, feel free to test, as long as it doesn't bring the site or shopping experience down. Otherwise, we'd like to kindly ask a timeframe of testing between 9pm and 3am PST if at all possible. Or around those time frames, the closest you can get to either time.

After checking the orders on the second matter, I confirm they didn't have any discounts and it's a collateral of the main issue reported. Somewhere along the database that 1 value (exchange rate), we believe is the cause.

Let us know what you can find out. Thanks Pablo!

Hello

It looks like a conflict with a third-party software

To find the reason you need to disable third-party plugins / theme.

As it alive site I can suggest you make clone of the site for testing by this plug-in https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ and I will make tests there

Hi Pablo,

Thanks for reaching out, we are moving servers at the moment so that we can provide you with a staging site to test it out. We'll let you know when it's done and will provide the access info ASAP. Have a good one!

Also, word came in from the client: Purchase order #6489 was a local one and it had the same $1 issue (in argentinian pesos), so it's not just a foreign currency matter. Again, these are minimal cases, but they hurt the client's business nonetheless.

Hello

Ok!

Again, these are minimal cases, but they hurt the client's business nonetheless. - Yes, of course I understand that! But the plugin must take this number from somewhere, and therefore I think this is a conflict with a third-party software

Hello Pablo,

Sorry for the late response. We migrated servers and now we have a staging site to share with you for testing without affecting the live site. Now you can go ahead and run all the tests you have to risk free. I updated the ticket private info with login access.
Please keep us posted on what you can find out and hopefully a workaround.

Super grateful, have a good one.

Hello Ignacio

This is a conflict with your child theme.  This  custom function - https://c2n.me/465actb.png

Thanks Pablo for the prompt response. I'll need to have a developer look for a workaround as this code came from a former team..

What line of code or value in particular is affecting the way your plugin functions? Can you tell with your insight on your coding? We'd need to change it without breaking the whole site.

Hello

Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for third-party code.  You should check the prices you are comparing. ( https://c2n.me/465W7Kp.png )
