It seems you did not make the necessary settings.

  1.  Set  MDTF  category  to all  posts - https://c2n.me/479AcX3.png

  3. Use  this  shortcode  to show  posts - https://wp-filter.com/features/shortcode-mdf_custom/
  4. To set up Ajax mode  please  use  wraper - https://wp-filter.com/features/shortcode-mdf_results_by_ajax/

Yes, this plugin is difficult to configure - but it’s a fee for flexibility.

You should watch these videos - and many things will be clearer
