Ok staging site details saved in pvt area. Please note I am not sure what server the staging environment is using so it will be difficult to confirms if vars30000 is set. I have saved an information extract of all my live site server parameters in pvt area. Please advise if you need a login to live site.

vars is set at 30 000 and despite this the settings did not save and filter did not work. I had to roll back the site to a backup with version 2.2.6.4 so that my product filter would still work. Please advise how we can resolve?

Thank you for the advice. I now understand better what you mean about taxonomies. I will pass on your suggestion to my hosting and we will test the var40000 and revert with feedback.

I took the leap and updated to latest version. 40 000 vars on server was sufficient to allow plugin to run correctly and save settings.
