Quote from Ludo on October 8, 2026, 00:46Hi, We are currently using FOX - Currency Switcher Professional for WooCommerce plugin and have selected the "ddslick drop-down" for the frontend currency switcher.
During an accessibility audit, we identified a couple of accessibility issues on the frontend:
- Missing alternative text for images: The currency switcher is generating an <img> element without a valid image source/alternative text. Since the image src is missing, can you please add a condition so that the <img> element is not rendered at all when a valid image source is unavailable?
- Form label is not correctly associated with a form control: A form label is generated, but it is not correctly associated with its corresponding form control. Please ensure that the label has the appropriate for attribute and that it correctly matches the id of the associated form control.
We could not find any available filter or plugin setting that allows us to address these issues from our side. Since we are not using or displaying currency flags in the switcher, we prefer that the flag-related image markup is not generated on the frontend at all.Can you please advise if there is a filter or configuration option available to prevent this markup from being generated? If not, we would appreciate it if you may consider fixing this in the plugin.Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for the detailed audit report, both points are valid and both come from the plugin.
- Empty image. When flags are turned off, the currency option still got an image attribute that contained only whitespace, and the ddslick script treated it as an image source. We have fixed the template, so when flags are off no img element is rendered at all. When flags are on, the flag image now has an empty alt attribute, because it is decorative and the currency text is shown next to it.
- Label without a control. The ddslick script used label elements only to wrap the visible text of the selected item and the options. We have replaced them with span elements, so there are no labels without a form control anymore.
The fixed files are in the private section of this ticket. To apply the fix now, upload them over the existing files in wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-currency-switcher/:
js/jquery.ddslick.min.js
views/shortcodes/woocs.phpAfter that, clear your site cache and any CDN or optimization plugin cache, so the browser loads the new script. The same changes will be included in the next FOX update, so you will not need to do this again.
Best regards, Alex
