WOOCs Plugin Stalling Admin Edit Pages

I have been having an ongoing problem with edit.php pages in the admin intermittently"stalling" for 30 to 35 seconds. It does not happen every time that an edit.php page is loaded. Sometimes the page will load with no problem several times, and then suddenly take over 30 seconds to load.
This has been a difficult problem to troubleshoot due to it being intermittent and unpredictable, but with the help of the New Relic One monitoring service, I narrowed down the issue to a component called "WOOCS_STORAGE::_contruct" as shown in the image below.
I have also created a video that provides more details that I will post in the private data section of this post.
Any idea why this component would be causing this kind of slow down and how it can be fixed?

Try changing this option - https://c2n.me/4f2kj6I.png - clear all cache and do a test
I had this option set to"PHP Session." I changed it to"Transient," which appears to have solved the problem.
