  1. I have been using 'WOOCS/ FOX Currency switcher' & 'Extra product options (themecomplete)' for few years now -It has been working perfectly fine until the last few days
  2. Also have followed the instructions on this page: https://currency-switcher.com/codex/#code for point 86. WooCommerce Extra Product Options (by themecomplete)
  3. My issue started since past 4-5 days ago: The Currency Switcher is not switching the Currencies in Product Options

When I am converting from INR to USD- the price of the options shows and adds USD $ sign but the price is still INR
meaning if an option is INR Rs. 1000 -when switching currency it takes USD $ 1000...

Please could you help me with the same- the foreign orders have stopped coming & I am loosing out on work due to this glitch...this was actually pointed out by some customer. Please guide me.

I just wanted to update you with a couple of things:

1. Since the adaptation is taking time, I have for now manually added the USD price next to the INR price in the 'GOBAL FORMS' section of the 'TM Extra Product Options'
I understand that rectifying the currency switch in TM extra product option prices will take time & research, but I am loosing a lot of business online, as customers overseas see INR 1000 as USD 1000 which will obviously drive them away, unless someone bothers to clarify with us online. So I have added the USD & INR prices manually - so when currency switch happens - the right price shows
I am just letting you know this since when you test - you may not find the original error as shared in screenshot

2. I also observed that TM Extra Product Options plugin basically after latest update -- actually ended up swapping the brackets of the currency boxes- How I am not sure
So earlier if INR is my primary currency- the price shown in 1st default box is INR and then it switched to USD after using currency switcher on the website

Unfortunately after this update, the USD is the default currency box that comes first and so all prices of INR still remained in the extra options but were being read in USD. So I manually went to Global forms and updated it

3. However the currency switching isn't happening where only one currency price is entered - so the issue still prevails, hence updating you. I dont know if this is an issue after the Currenct switcher's latest update or the Extra product options latest update.

4. In order to test- pls check this section:

As this product category needed me to make manual changes across more than 30 products- for this category I have not done anything... So you can test in this section. Thanks...

The Support Team from THEMECOMPLETE seems have to rectified a few errors from their end... and few more they are yet to revert... so kindly wait. I will keep you posted if anything need to be done from your support team's end as of now or not.. and if we do need to add anything to adaptation at the moment.. Will keep you posted as per their reply.

Hi- You can close this ticket. They resolved all the issues form their end. Thanks for your prompt response.

SOLUTION:

Issue 01: About the issue we were having, the problem was that the main WooCommerce currency (the one WooCommerce has and is hidden upon installing FOX) was somehow changed to USD. This led the EPO plugin"think" that this was the main currency. It is their understanding that when you set a currency as the default in FOX that setting should also change, yet for some reason that didn't happen and although INR was default in FOX the USD was default for WooCommerce.

What they did to fix this was to disable FOX, set the currency back to INR and then re-enable FOX.


Issue 02: to see a price range in INR 900 - 2700 vs. USD $ 900 - 2700
They created a fix to convert those range prices to the current currency - which they will release in next update.
