Website keeps crashing on pages using MDTF
The support doesn work on Saturdays and Sundays, so some Friday requests can be answered on Monday. Our website keeps crashing and our hosting provider supplied us with the below error logs which flagged pages using the MDTF filter plugin containing Russian text such as: %Профиль Z-образный, стальной, перфорированный; t=2,5мм; размером не менее 50х50х50мм; длина 3м; оцинкованный
This is a UK language site and there is no Russian text on the site. So we’re a bit baffled why we’re seeing Russian text in our database error logs. Is this something embedded in the plugin code somewhere?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This code shows that some user is searching for posts and inserting Russian words into the text search.
I don't know what your site specializes in, but the user is trying to find metal structures. If this is relevant to your site's topic, then the reason could be that the user is using auto-translation in the browser.

Thanks for the reply this helped a lot. We've since found out it is spammers overloading our search form that caused the site to crash. So everything is working as expected with the MDTF filters.
