Quote from alice@wearemodular.co.uk on March 19, 2026, 17:01It seems that this issue is related to server side caching. The only way to get the plugin to work is to turn it off. This is not an ideal solution for a large ecommerce plug in that needs to run quickly. This is the response from the website host:
Trust you are doing well today.
This issue should be fixed on the plugin’s end, its not possible to partially cache a page on any level (server or plugin).
I ran some tests and checked the plugin settings but couldn’t find any options. On their demo page the currency changes without a page reload, if this plugin has an option to change the currency using JavaScript and an Ajax request, that should fix the cache problem.
https://demo.currency-switcher.com/I’m suggesting contacting the plugin developers to see how you can enable it. There is not much we can do on our end.
Best Regards
Amin

Quote from alice@wearemodular.co.uk on March 20, 2026, 12:39I have added that in. I am finding the switcher only works well without server side caching which also means the site will be slower. I changed the storage to Fox Session and turned on Hummingbird (cache plugin). I excluded the cookie - this resulted in it working more or less but also the styling would break every time the switcher was used - a good few seconds - more than just a flash. This was paricularly bad in edge so I have had to turn off all page caching. Is there a way around this? The page caching toggle just breaks the switcher

Quote from Alex Dovlatov on March 20, 2026, 17:28Hi Alice
Thanks for the detailed info — this is a classic caching conflict, and there's a built-in solution in WOOCS for exactly this.
Please go to WooCommerce → Currency Switcher → tab Options → "I am using cache plugin on my site" and enable it and clear all kinds of cache on the sitee. This makes the plugin recalculate prices client-side after page load, so the server can cache the page normally without breaking the switcher.
A few notes:
- Make sure your storage type is set to "Fox Session" (which you already have — good)
- With AJAX mode on, you can safely re-enable Hummingbird page caching
Let us know if the issue persists after enabling that option.

I have experimented with that toggle a lot - any time I put it on the switcher stops working - even in Chrome which is the browser it seems to perform the best in

Quote from alice@wearemodular.co.uk on March 20, 2026, 18:27Yes it is stable now. As I explained this is because I have turned off all caching including server side caching. If I turn that back on it would be another story. This is the problem, we want caching on this site for speed purposes
