on my site, I would like all filter values to be shown for parent categories and children categories.  So for categories:

Parent 1
parent1.child1
parent1.child2
Parent 2
parent2.child1
parent2.child2

If a user selects parent 1 category all of the filter values will show for that category.  If I selected  parent1.child1 then I would like to see the same filter values but right now it shows only the filter values that  parent1.child1 category.  is this possible?  I understand why the filter works the way it does I just need a different behavior and I am wondering what my options are.

Thank you, April

Hello

Unfortunately, the filter will not work otherwise. Because any click on a category that does not correspond to the current page will always give zero products

In your case, you need a menu instead of a filter - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210714135511.png

I understand the logic for doing it this way in the plugin but II would love for you to consider this use case.

Essentially, the woof plugin is constantly filtering the filter values which the user can see by what they previously searched for.  For example, say you are in a clothing store and you search for Men's shoes.  The filter values on size is only going to show you shoe sizes and not shirt sizes.  Does that make sense?  my use case would be a person has searched for Men's shoes and the search list only shows shoes which is correct but this person still wants the ability to be able to search for say a Shirt.  In order to do this with the WOOF plugin you have to hit the Clear button and it will take you to the top-level store category.  I would always like to always show all of the filter values for the entire store.

Any suggestions on workarounds?  I could hard code every category (there are a lot) to a woof search link but this does not seem like a very good solution and will take a lot of maintenance.

Thank you, April B.
