Hi

we have been trying with both a shortcode and widget, but no posts show up in the results page, even though they are found in the widget?

Hello

Ok!  Try to use  this  shortcodes  - https://wp-filter.com/features/shortcode-mdf_custom/

It looks like the templates of the current theme are not compatible with the filter
