I have created a custom post type with custom taxonomies using Pods plugin. Using this filter plugin, the visitor can filter these custom posts by their taxonomies.
Everything was working fine until I noticed that the filter doesn't find any pods posts any more, it always returns 'no search results found.' or this error:
WP_Error Object ( [errors] => Array ( [invalid_taxonomy] => Array ( [0] => فئة غير صالحة. ) ) [error_data] => Array ( ) [additional_data:protected] => Array ( ) )
After investigating for a while, I found out that apparently there is a conflict with Contact Form 7 versions 5.5.5 and higher.
I think the issue is related to the change here.
There aren't any errors in the error log.
I've recreated this issue using my test website. If you filter for 'action' genre then it won't found any books, even though I have one.

What exactly do you mean by display template issue?
Could you tell me the steps to solve this problem, please? So I can implement in my live website.

In the shortcode settings, I left it empty, so it takes the default, which is just the home URL of the website.

which is just the home URL of the website. - This cannot be a URL. This should be the name of the template: search, content, archive, self and ect... try inserting these templates(one by one) and do tests
same issue it still shows no results found when I set it to 'search'
and the other options redirect to posts archive page. I don't want posts but my custom post type books.
now it doesn't work even when I disable the plugin Contact form 7. so probably it was never a plugin conflict. Something is wrong with the filter.
