OLD values not removing from dropdown. Need Urgent Help

I clicked"clear terms cache" button under the plugin's Settings > Advanced > Options, hoping it would clear the cache, but instead its removed the dropdowns from displaying

Since I accidentally clicked the other clear cache option yesterday ("clear terms cache"), the dropdowns on my site have disappeared. They briefly flash on page load, and then disappear. How can I get those to appear?

I'm still confused why these don't work. I uploaded another set of sample products, then deleted them, and cleared cache for both buttons.
All options still show in the dropdown. Why is that? Do you have docs on caching behavior? I'm confused with the behavior of the plugin.
You don't need to do any configuring/changes, I'm just curious how this works.
I've uploaded ~8k new products, but the filters are still only showing values for the samples. (the year dropdown currently only shows"2022" as a value). Why is that?
Nevermind—I had to clear the cache again for it to pick up the new products.

What do you mean"until I set up the site"? The site is in a finished state, but I'll constantly be adding new products.
