We are using the Fox Currency switcher to enable payments in CZK and EUR.

Our base currency is CZK

It seems that on the website, prices are displayed correctly

The issues is how prices for products with variations are shown in the mobile app

In the woocommerce mobile app, we see correct prices for products with no variations but when i look at products with variations, I see the EUR amount with a CZK label. For example, the products with variations cost 1000 CZK. On the site, it shows 1000 CZK or 41 EUR based on where the customer is located. In the woocommerce app is shows 41 CZK for all the variations.

Hello

To better understand the issue, could you please clarify:

1. What mobile app are you referring to?
- Is it the official WooCommerce Mobile app (for store management)?
- A custom mobile app built for your store?
- A third-party solution like AppPresser, MobiLoud, etc.?
- Or are you viewing the site through a mobile browser?

2. Is this app used by:
- Store administrators (you) to manage products?
- Your customers to make purchases?

3. Could you provide the app name or a link to it

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, I did not receive a notification that you responded.

Yes, I am referring to the official woo commerce app on ios.
https://apps.apple.com/cz/app/woocommerce-store-pos/id1389130815

It is used by me as the administrator.

Hello

Unfortunately, I cannot help you directly in this case. Here's why:

The issue:

FOX Currency Switcher is designed to work with websites - it modifies prices displayed on your WooCommerce store's frontend. However, the official WooCommerce mobile app is a compiled native iOS application that works independently from website plugins.

Technical explanation:

  1. The WooCommerce mobile app retrieves data through the WooCommerce REST API
  2. FOX does have REST API integration support (https://currency-switcher.com/using-rest-api-with-woocommerce-currency-switcher), but this works when external applications make API requests and can pass currency parameters
  3. The official WooCommerce iOS app is a closed/compiled application - I cannot modify how it requests or displays data
  4. The app likely doesn't pass currency parameters in its API requests, so it only sees your base currency (CZK) prices from the database

What's happening with variations:

It appears the app is pulling EUR amounts (41) but displaying them with your base currency label (CZK), showing"41 CZK" instead of"1000 CZK". This suggests the variation prices in your database might be stored incorrectly, or the app is not properly handling the currency data.

My recommendation:

  1. Contact WooCommerce/Automattic support about the mobile app - ask them how the app handles multi-currency setups and whether it supports currency switcher plugins
  2. If they need any specific integration or cooperation from my side regarding the REST API, I'm open to working with them
  3. In the meantime, you might need to manage your store through the mobile browser version of your website instead of the app, where WOOCS works correctly

I apologize that I cannot provide a direct solution, as this is a limitation of the compiled mobile application rather than the currency switcher plugin.
