How to modify the placeholder text

We need to modify the placeholder text inside the input box.  For example,"Application" to"By Application" where"Application" is the product category.

  1. Can the placeholder text be modified from an admin page?
  2. If not, is there a filter for it?

Hi Pablo,

Please see the product filter on https://staging.89north.com/.  There are placeholders like"Category","Application","Brand","Technique".  We need to add"By" to these so that they become"By Category","By Application","By Brand","By Technique".

Thank you for the response.

The plugin came bundled with a theme we don't have license.  How do we add text to the place holders? (like my original question)  Are you saying we have to update to the latest version?
