How to disable GeoIP use and show (approx. price) on checkout page in selected currency?

So far love the plugin! But we are running into a a bit of 'inconsistency' and we are not sure if we have overlooked a setting.
Our use case:
We are only able to process payments in 1 currency (which works perfectly).
We would love to see the Approx price mentioned on the checkout page, using the selected currency.
However, it always shows the first currency from the list that shows as Approx price and not the selected currency.
We also tried to use GeoIP but then the selected currency can be AUD, but since we are e.g. in Europe, the approx price on checkout shows in EUR and checkout is in IDR.
Which will confuse the customer for sure.
How can we do the setup in settings so the selected currency shows as Approx price on the checkout page and we don't use GeoIP?

Unfortunately the plugin does not have this feature.
Approx price - this only works for currency according to GeoIP rules

That is a real pity, because it would absolutely rock if it could do that.
The reason for showing an Approx price in the selected currency, is to help the customer see how much they roughly pay.
The plugin is absolutely wonderful with all the shortcode use as well. It just feels a bit weird that the Approx price works fine with GeoIP, but only once that is switched off, it simply defaults to the top currency in the list instead of following the selected currency. Which would make more sense right?
I would love to see that functionality, even if it would mean a custom piece of code. If possible to develop from you guys?
Which would make more sense right? - I disagree with you. This is a useful feature that shows prices in the user's native currency(from GeoIP rules).

What we are trying to accomplish is to checkout in the shops base currency and 'simply' show the customer the approx price for their selected currency as well.
You are 100% right about the functionality of GeoIP and Approx price being useful. But this works when A) the customer is in his native country and B) does not use a VPN.
In our case, we have a lot of customers that are on holiday that book with us... so their native currency is not always matching their geo-location. So that's why we checked in to see if it was possible to work around that and still use the Approx price on the checkout page. 🙏🏼

But for this you have to create new functionality. Changing the plugin code is not advisable.
