Hierarchy drop down filters

How do we make a filter based of the Hierarchy drop down?
I.E we want 3 levels(drop downs) Make + Model + Series
Can this be achieved using Wordpress categories and used on home front page?
Example:
Toyota
-Hilux
--SR5
I.E if you select 'Make' Toyota, the child('Model' dropdown) will auto populate with all its models, so will second child with all its Series?

Yes you can do it with any hierarchical taxonomy( as described in the documentation )

Thank you, is it possible to filter / display specific parent categories only?
Never mind I see we can do that in the Exclude terms IDs / reverse input field.
One more issue, as the filter is on home page it redirects to shop page to display results, which we want.
However- I noticed the Home Reset button also does this, is their a way to keep reset to stay on home? Thank you.
