Help with setting up filters for default categories and archive

Hi there.
Further to my messages on the WP support page, I need help setting up filters with standard WP categories (these could be converted to a CPT if necessary)
And using this archive template:

The actual filter shortcode is there and I like the horizontal, conditional layout but I can't get the results to display.
I need everything displayed by default and then filter these results.
If you can help, please let me know what you need and cost.
I need this doing as soon as possible please.

edit: I just looked at your 'chain menu' plugin. I need it to work exactly the same as this but with the post archive shown and updated as selections are made. Hope that helps. Thanks again
