Sorry to get back on topic.
I saw the following ticket.

This seems like a very good fix, but why not do this?
I would like to know how this fix would affect me.
(For testing purposes)
I am encountering the same problem and am having trouble.
Especially because the sale is not marked on the Product Detail page.
