Hi,

I can't figure out how to activate the geo location currency based on ip in the settings.

I can see in the GEOIP tab that i can add specific countries to the currencies i have selected for the plugin, but i dont know how to automatically set the plugin to display the currency for that country in their local currency based on ip.

surely i dont need to create every currency in the plugin and then set the country to that plugin? that defeats the whole point of detecting a currency based on location?

please advise.

Hi Pablo,

That doesn't make sense, how does a GeoIP feature work if it doesnt display the local currency? that defeats the whole point of the plugin if i have to create 200 currencies and countries manually.

what is the default currency that will be displayed in countries then if it doesnt detect the ip to display their local currency?

and if i have to create the currency for each country, how do i set it up where i create the currencies for countries but not display them in the side switcher?

Hello

The problem is that the plugin cannot track the political situation in the world. And hold local currency for different countries

This functionality is useful in such cases. An example:  For the European Union, display in euros, for other countries in USD

But does it not draw the exchange rate from a live currency website like xe.com or yahoo finance? so no need to track the political situation around the world it just pulls data from a website?

ok so the welcome currency will display in all countries unless there is a currency setting for that country? is that right?

ok fine.

another issue is that the side switcher display is having issues. i have set the settings to hide on mobile devices but it still shows.

please can you help fix this issue?

dont worry i fixed it myself with custom css code to hide the switcher on devices with max width 720px.
