Difficulty with currency conversion rate

Dear Support,
I am finding it difficult getting the accurate exchange rate. How can i calculate the exchange rate manually since i will be using fixed rate? When i use my country's currency NGN as base currency, the exchange rate switches seamless, but my PaypPal stops to work. When i use USD or GBP as base currency, my PayPal works well but the exchange rate value becomes inaccurate.
Secondly, i noticed as soon as i activated the plugin that my site stops loading seamlessly. Some stuffs keep rolling on the background for like 30seconds before the site load. See screenshot with issues highlighted in red
