Hi,

We are having an issue on our site where Klarna is not being loaded for currencies/locations other than the shop base currency when CheckoutWC is active.

For example if Swedish Krona is selected and shipping to Sweden Klarna will not load when Checkout WC is active, but it will when it is not active.

The support team in Checkout WC have said this is due to this currency plugin not loading the currency correctly at checkout and have suggested alternatives that work in this scenario.

We would rather not switch if possible. Do you have any fix/workaround for this issue? Klarna is a must for us in all available currencies and locations.

Hi Declan,

Finally tracked this down. It looks like WOOCS isn't loading the right currency on the checkout page when CheckoutWC is active.

I looked through their code base but it's very complex and it isn't obvious where the problem is coming from. I tested with another currency plugin we have worked with in the past and it works fine (links removed).

This is the fastest way to resolve the issue. Another option is that you could have WOOCS investigate why they aren't able to load the currency correctly with CheckoutWC - everything else works, so I'm assuming it's pretty simple.

Ok! Interesting response from the developer. Our plugin works correctly works with standard checkout and payment systems.

In any case, to solve this incompatibility with a third-party plugin  - https://currency-switcher.com/woocs-labs

you can add wp-admin+ftp accesses to your test site -  https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20230222134241.png ->https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20230222134615.png -  and I will add this to the adaptation queue

What is the timeline for an adaptation to fix something like this?

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to determine the development time for third-party code.

There are also other clients in the queue for adaptation. Your turn will be in about two weeks

Hi Pablo,

 

Is there any update on this?

 

We would really like to keep using this plugin, but Klarna in all countries that offer it is a requirement so if its not possible we will have to move.

Any update on the timeline here?

 

This site needs Klarna to be working in all available countries, if there is no timeline on a fix we will need to look at an alternative plugin.

You are using a very old version of the plugin. Update the plugin to latest version - https://currency-switcher.com/how-to-make-auto-update-for-wordpress-plugins-and-themes-bought-on-envato

if no luck  - Try in file -  woocommerce-currency-switcher\index.php  - comment/delete this line - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20250516134435.png   and do a test

I have installed the envato plugin, but there is not option to update the currency plugin.

 

I have added the purchase code.

 

Is there somewhere i can download the latest version?

We also do not accept payments in multiple currencies, just euro currently so we can't enable that multiple option.
