Hello Team,

I have been a facing an issue where different currencies start showing up to users irrespective of the settings we have set up in the plugin.

We have set up plugin to use fixed pricing for INR and the stores base currency is USD. All the other currencies are set to covert based on the base currency USD. We have disabled the switcher and the currency reflects based on the geo ip of the user. We have set the plugin to use php session. However sometimes it acts weird and start showing random currencies to the users irrespective of their browsing location.

For example showing price in USD to users in Canada or India. Or sometimes even showing multiple different currencies to the same users for different products on our store. Can you please guide on what is causing this issue and how can this be fixed. This has been a big problem as multiple users have complaint about this issue and we don't know what to do.

Thank you!

Warm Regards

Uday

Hello  Uday

Please  read  this - https://currency-switcher.com/using-geolocation-causes-problems-doesnt-seem-to-work-for-me

What plugin  version number are  you using?

Hello Pablo,

I am using the latest version of the paid version of the plugin.

After reading your resource I have change the default customer location setting to Geolocate with caching support. I will need to test out this for a few days to verify if this resolves the issue or not. To troubleshoot this problem we had disabled caching for product and shop page. Can we reenable that?

Thank you!

Warm Regards
Uday

Can we reenable that? - Yes. but try  these  options - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20231106112328.png and https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20231106112356.png

Hello Pablo,

I have pasted the purchase code.

Even after changing to geolocate with caching support. There was the error for some users. I have already kept the setting (I am using cache plugin on my site) for plugin 'ON'.

I tried switching to fox session before raising the support request, it didn't fix it then, but I will try again.

I have asked my developer to turn on the caching for shop and individual product pages.

Thank you!

Warm Regards
Uday

Hello Uday

Please note that GeoIP only works on the user's first visit, then the plugin stores the user's last currency

You can do the test yourself: Create  a test   page  with  shortcodes - [woocs_geo_hello] [woocs_show_current_currency]   and use this service to simulate visits from different countries - https://www.locabrowser.com/

Hello Pablo,

Yes, I am aware of that but something was causing the site to display different currencies all at the same time. With updated settings the issues seems to be resolved for now.

If there is any other occurrence I will contact you.

Thanks a lot for your support.
