Currency aggregator from XML

Is there a way to add a custom currency aggregator which provides only information through an XML, CSV, PDF and XLS. I saw that there is information how to add and API here https://currency-switcher.com/how-to-add-its-own-custom-currency-aggregator, but it does not mention XML.
