Usually use Yahoo to get exchange rates but have tried a few others and none are propagating currencies. Unsure what to try next? It's been used for years on our site with no issue.

Update the plugin to latest version - https://currency-switcher.com/how-to-make-auto-update-for-wordpress-plugins-and-themes-bought-on-envato  -  clear all cache and do a test

Sorry I can't find where to get the license key? We purchase through CodeCanyon.

Also the update plugin link gives a 404 page not found error.

No still the same after the update.

Nothing happens  just liek that, have you done last time any changes in the hosting options?

It looks like something on the server or hosting side has changed. The currency update requests usually stop working when one of the following happens:

  • allow_url_fopen or outgoing connections are disabled by the host
  • Firewall or hosting restrictions block external HTTPS requests
  • cURL or OpenSSL PHP extensions are missing or broken
  • DNS or SSL certificate problems prevent connecting to exchange rate APIs
  • WordPress CRON stopped running, so scheduled updates no longer execute
  • The API provider (Yahoo or others) changed or became temporarily unavailable

Something that worked for years and suddenly stopped usually means the hosting environment or network configuration has been modified.

If you not remeber or not undertood why is that, you can provide ftp+wp admin access in the secret area and I will make tests, but I am sure something changed on the hosting side
