When trying to update the product that has a single variable from Variable product to a Simple product, the plugin does not transfer the sales and regular prices correctly. The sales price becomes empty on a Simple product. Please help.

Yes. This is the right behavior. The plugin does not transfer prices, because in fact it is different products. Transfer prices to another product is a custom functionality.
