Bulk addition of attribute to the parent product only

Hello,
I have products that have variations. I also have some attributes set up that should be applied only to the parent product for filtering purposes - those attributes aren't used for actual variations.
Is it possible to add such attributes (not used for variations) only to the parent product in bulk?
I can't seem to find documentation about this.

I hope I undertood you right. You need just filter products or select them using checkboxes, then go to bulk edit tab and select attributes you need to set and click Bulk edit button.
