operations at back end are affected by the currency chosen in front end for same user.

  1. base prices of products are messed up sometimes when editor is editing products and his/her front end currency choose is not base currency.
  2. wrong coupon amount applied at back end when currency chose at front end is not same as order currency.

  1. all products should only be stored in base currency. Unable to save the price of the products in other currencies. when editor is editing products - where does he/she edit prices
  2. Please  describe  it  in  more  detail. You can  create  screenshots

How to replicate scenario 1:

  1. store base currency set in USD.
  2. shop manger selects AUD on website front end.
  3. shop manager goes to back end, edits products and saves update.
  4. sometimes somehow we found that the price of product was changed to its AUD value at back end, but as you know there is no currency selection at back end and all values in back end should be in base currency.

How to replicate scenario 2:

  1. store base currency set in USD.
  2. customer places order in AUD.
  3. shop manager selects USD on website front end.
  4. shop manager goes to back end to edit the order, applies a coupon, then the coupon amount in USD is deducted from order total, while the coupon amount in AUD should be deducted due to order currency is AUD. it cannot be corrected with"Recalculate".

How to replicate scenario 1:  - It's impossible! when you save the price of a product, you just keep a number! The product does not have such a field as currency. And in this case, it is impossible to save the price in another currency because there is simply no currency on the product edit page

How to replicate scenario 2:
Describe in more detail how you add coupons on the order page

 

scenario 1 - it happens, our shop managers are updating products at back end and we already saw a couple of cases, which we don't know how to replicate currently and make us worried.

 

scenario 2 - shop manager changes order status to"Pending payment" or"On hold", seems only under this status we can edit order items and apply coupons. I can share you screenshot if you need, where can I upload image here?

  1.   Do not worry( If you don't use third party plugins or custom code to add custom fields ) As I wrote above, this is impossible. More likely, this is a mistake of managers. All product prices must only be stored in base currency

  1. we do use third party plugins as well as customisation. I will get back to you once getting more detailed info.
