Hi

Thank you for your help on this

Basically I have an issue with the prices display on my website veryrare.co  I sell on three different areas (UE, USA, UK) so I need to have the prices being displayed in each currency.
Default customer location is set as Geolocate with page caching support

General Option.PNG

I use Maxmind Geolocation with valid license key

The currency switch plugin is set up on the option of using cache plugin on my website

Prices
Still the prices are displayed in pounds... Whereas I'm located in Paris  France (so should be euros)
Prices in pounds.PNG
Could you help me on this?
Many thanks
Theodore

Hello Theodore

Please paste your license key here - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130558.png -> https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130614.png

Whereas I'm located in Paris  France (so should be euros) - Euro will be enabled only if you visit the site for the first time, then the plugin stores the user's last currency.

Please  read  this - https://currency-switcher.com/using-geolocation-causes-problems-doesnt-seem-to-work-for-me

Hi,

Just updated my code.
Many thanks for the help!

Hello

To test  it  you can create  a  custom page  with  shortcodes:

  1. [woocs_show_current_currency]
  2. [woocs_geo_hello]

and  use VPN

Hi
Thanks a lot for the shortcode

So I put it on a page and took the time to wait for the"bug" to happen and this is a result I got today on this page https://veryrare.co/currencywoocs/

Whereas I clearly said that if the country was France, I'd like it to be in Euros

Any idea how I can change this? I'm almost sure it's a cache issue. But I toggle the option"I am using cache plugin on my site" on the ON position...

Many many thanks in advance for the help

Hello

Whereas I clearly said that if the country was France, I'd like it to be in Euros - No.  please read my messages - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20220922081254.png GeoIP works only for the first visit, then the plugin stores the currency for each user. But the user can change the currency - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20220922082250.png It is logical if GeoIP always worked (for any visit) then the user cannot switch the currency

I gave you a link to the article, did you read it?  - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20220922081429.png

Please  update  the  plugin  to latest  version - https://currency-switcher.com/how-to-make-auto-update-for-wordpress-plugins-and-themes-bought-on-envato

My  test - https://share.pluginus.net/video/v20220922081820.mp4 - as you can see woocommerce detects user location incorrectly. My plugin correctly switches currency based on data provided by woocommerce

Hi
Thanks for your swift answer

Actually I had read all your messages carefully. I'm really talking about a first visit of a buyer on my website. At the time I speak, looks like everyone is seeing the currency displayed in pouds.

On my phone (using tiktok browser so first visit)

And on different tools from the internet

https://www.locabrowser.com/

https://www.site-shot.com/

Whereas in the meantime the localisation works properly

So I truly think it is a cache issue as it looks like all users are seing the same currency. Then it's sometimes changed and I start to see a different currency (probably when the cache is automaticly cleared and"store" a new currency).  I'm hosted on WP Engine and I can tell them how to to tailor the cache with your software so that there is no discrepancy

Many help again in the troubleshooting of this issue

And yes the plugin looks up to date to me. Let me know if it isn't

Hello

Yes, it looks like your current cache settings are incompatible with Woocommerce - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20220923084705.png

And you did not follow the recommendations from the article - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20220923084943.png

https://currency-switcher.com/how-to-make-auto-update-for-wordpress-plugins-and-themes-bought-on-envato  - Have you installed the plugin recommended in the article? I see your version of the plugin, it's an old version - please update the plugin.  If for some reason you cannot do as described in the article, remove the plugin and install the new version (all
settings will be saved). To get  latest  version - https://codecanyon.net/downloads

Hi
First of all thanks a lot for the time you spend on solving this issue. Very very helpful. Here are my remarks

"Looks like your current cache settings are incompatible with Woocommerce" -> I use the cache plugin/settings from WP Engine which is quite specialized in Wordpress & Woocommerce. Do you have any idea about what I should change in the settings?

I changed the settings in woocommerce to allow page caching support

I changed the version of your plugin. I'm somehow a bit reluctant to install another plug in because I invested so much in speed optimization and I really want to limit the number of plugins on my website.

I'll run the tests to see if everything is fine. If it works I owe you one for sure !
Best

Hello

I did  a test  -  https://share.pluginus.net/video/v20220926081001.mp4 - it seems to work correctly now
