We can't get the quick search results pane to appear when in mini-mode and I need help how to correctly troubleshoot this problem. The search results pane comes up just fine and works when the browser width is greater or equal than 768 pixels, but when resizing the browser so the theme switches to mini-mode, the search icon and functionality is moved to the footer bar. In that mode the search results pane does not show. Here are two screenshots, one showing the pane coming up in normal mode, the second where the search is in the bottom footer but no results pane showing up:

Currently the code replaces the default form block in the product-searchform.php with the following:
echo do_shortcode("[woof_quick_search preload=1 placeholder='search styles or color #' reset_btn=0]");We've tried different parameters, including adding a woof_quick_search_results short code, but to no avail. Any help and/or pointers would be much appreciated. The site is https://www.dymaflooring.com. Thanks!
Setup:
WordPress v5.5.1
WooCommerce v4.6.1
Store Theme v2.8.0
WOOF v2.2.2.1
WOOF Quick Search v1.0
