WOOF Text filter extension needs "reset" button for search query

Plugin version: 2.2.4 (bought via Codecanyon)
Theme: Storefront (child) 2.5.2
I just started to use your extension WOOF text filter:

How can i display a reset button (maybe a small X right next to the search query) to be able to remove the search query from the input field?
In this case, it should reset the filter also and display all products again.
