I would like to insert a filter where I only display the categories that interest me. Putting even just an ID doesn't behave as I expected.

Since I have to create two different filters on two different pages.

For the second page, I would need to exclude only some categories from the filter,

should I use tax_exclude?

If yes, how?

Hello

Please read this - https://products-filter.com/shortcode/woof  - This attribute is for prefiltering settings, it does not affect the display of terms

For the second page, I would need to exclude only some categories from the filter, - Unfortunately the plugin does not have such a feature. You can exclude a term only in global settings and this will affect all pages or hide terms using custom CSS

Could you give some examples of how you can hide a category with CSS?

Hello

Yes. Please drop me exact  link to the  issue and which categories do you want to hide
