weak performance on search page

Yesterday, I encountered an unusual issue: each search result triggered about 9,000 requests to wp-admin.php, causing a 30-second delay. This is despite full optimization using OPcache and LScache. The root cause appears to be the plugin, as confirmed here:

Additionally, the video in the linked post demonstrates the same slow performance.
A quick check with Query Monitor shows huge number of requests originating from this plugin. I didn't debug deeply but seems that plugin isn't waiting for search results, but is doing filter checks on whole database. Of course it won't be a problem on 50 or 100 products page.

This won't be a problem even for 10,000 products. The number of queries depends on the taxonomies, in your case there are almost 9000 terms
