Variations filtering with multiple variations

I have two types of variations added to a product (see below).
Size:
| 16x24 |
| 24x36 |
| 30x45 |
Media:
| Photo Paper |
| Fine Art Paper |
| Canvas |
When I search for Size = 16X24 and Media = Photo Paper, why I am getting all sizes and Media variations as a result. I have also added Category to the filter as well, but i dont see that category being the problem.
So what am I doing wrong?
