Unable to select multiple checkboxes under one product attribute filer

When I attempt to click a second checkbox (B), under a single attribute filter, the first (A) automatically deselects.
I would like to select both, which would result in the products of both checkbox A & B displayed in my shop.
Example:
Attribute 1 Filter +
[X] Checkbox A
[X] Checkbox B
Attribute 2 Filter +
[ ] Checkbox C
[ ] Checkbox D
Result:
Products with values A & B of attribute 1
