Hi, we've a product IN589J with these variations:

we don't have a variation with
produttore chip: EM Microelectronics
privacy mode: Yes
funzione crypto: No

woof filter shows the IN589J product!

Hello

Only parent products are displayed on the shop/categories  pages , and the database query is for parent products only.

And this parent product actually has these attributes.

uhm, it doesn't make much sense... we used to filter on the variations of the products but somehow it isn't working.
now we've added also the FacetWP filter on the page: https://esclamalab.it/clienti/lab-id.com/prodotti/
as you can see:

FacetWP automatically applies the filters. if the same result cannot be obtained with Woof (by the way it is absurd that it is not possible, since the attributes are variants, not the parent products), we'll ask for a refund and go for the other.

by the way it is absurd that it is not possible, since the attributes are variants, not the parent products - This is not true! Variants do not contribute to the results on the store page. You only show parental products. Variants are a different type of post.

hi,
the difference in the given example is:

  • with Woof I get a result of parent products but when I click on it I land on a page with no variation products that should have the filtered features (because indeed they don't have them!)
  • with the other plugin I won't be able to add some filters if there aren't any variations with those features. I don't get the option of selecting filters if there aren't anymore products with those features. so I never land on a page that shows parents, but when clicking on them I don't see the variations...

I hope it's clear, please give it a run on the links I sent before.

Especially for such cases, the plugin has a free version, but you have not used this.
