Show category filter closed

I have configured the categories filter with smart designer so that they appear with images.
Smart designer with color and radio options.
In the filter options it appears to show the toggle bottom: no, yes, closed or yes, open.
I want it to appear as closed but in both options the categories are shown. What they do change are the names closed or open, as if it worked, but the categories are shown anyway.
I understand that this option is not compatible with smart designer or I must configure something else?
Another option that I have seen, would be to show only x categories and that the others would appear a button of “show more”, this option would also serve me but I believe that it is not compatible with smart designer?
