Settings not getting saved on localhost

I've been using the plugin on a production server without any issues. But now I'm trying to use it on localhost for developing theme, but the settings doesn't get saved. I've already set the PHP max-vars value.
Any ideas?
I also see this on the console:
jQuery.Deferred exception: woof_ext_custom is not defined ReferenceError: woof_ext_custom is not defined

What plugin version number are you using?
Are you having trouble saving extensions only or any settings?

Ok! Do you have the opportunity to do a test on an online server?
As said on my initial post, I'm already using it on the production server without issues. Don't know why it doesn't work on the localhost.
The only differences are PHP version (8.0 on prod vs 7.4.8 on local) and DB engine (MySQL 8.0.32 vs 5.5.5-10.4.13-MariaDB on local)

the only reason I think is - PHP max input vars. But you checked it.
How many taxonomies do you have?

Are you using any JS code optimization?
In the browser inspector check the variable woof_save_link
It looks like several JS variables are being included in the wrong order or not being included at all.

No optimization plugins are running. In fact I've disabled all but WooCommerce and Husky, also tried with a 'blank' functions.php file. Also tried with a default WordPress theme. No result.

Unfortunately I have no ideas.
But JS is not working properly.

This is very similar to incorrect optimization settings.
Really strange... There couldn't be any cleaner installation. Don't know if XAMPP config is responsible in any way.. I'll have to look into it.
However since the prod install is working perfectly, I'm not worried that much.
