Setting Default Form Value for variable products

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to set the"Default form value" of variable products. I've watched the video mentioned in response to similar questions in your support, but when I try to set the"Default Combination" I get the message"No attributes created...", while the attribute exists and combinations are created !
Any solution ?
