2 questions

  1.  The search_by text field only filter inside a category(and all subcategories). Example: if you have in 2 categories tables and chairs and you are in the homepage you can search for"chair" (where chair is in the title of product). But if you are in the tables category and you search for chair you will have zero results. So it is an ierarhical search this search by_text. Can we have a snippet or something so this search by text to behave for all categories even if you are not in the main shop page at the moment of the search by text? Something like if you press enter in that field, first go to the main shopping page and then apply the keyword. It is very normal to navigate in a website via menu, you find a product list and than you change your mind and type in the search field keywords for products that are in other categories, and it will fail to find them because you are not in the main shop category :). I want to use your serch_by text field as the main search in a website because it is the only one that allow you to refine the results with the other woof filters.

2. I have set Search by full word only to be disabled and the title of the product contain"chair" word and the search is set to title.

If my product has the title"Red Chair" if I search by text using"chairs" the result is zero products. If i`m searching by"chai" it works. So it seems that Search by full word only if it set to disabled it only work for words smaller as number as letters than the existing term (char<chair) but not for words that are bigger like a plural (chairs>chair). Can this be fixed? Because people can insert the name of a category in the search witch in general is a plural word. And your search by text dont`t let you search in category names.. Nor in tags :) So it is a common situation when the search field will fail to provide results for natural searching intensions.

Hello

  1. In this case, you need to redirect the user to the store page. Try  in  file -wp-content\plugins\woocommerce-products-filter\ext\by_text\js\by_text.js add  code https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210726134655.png woof_redirect ="https://your_shop_link.com";
  2. No plugin has this feature. The problem is that then we need to use a library for recognizing grammar rules depending on the language.

Hello, I added this line with my shop link but it doesn`t do the redirect part..

woof_redirect ="https://your_shop_link.com"

Hello

Ok!  Please  add  wp-admin access - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130558.png -> https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210618130637.png

ready, admin acces and ftp acces

Hello

You gave me access to a site that doesn't have my plugin and it looks like it's not wordpress

Sorry, corrected the link :)

Hello

In  file -  wp-content\plugins\woocommerce-products-filter\ext\by_text\js\by_text.js I added  code - https://share.pluginus.net/image/i20210803115311.png

woof_current_page_link ="https://add2.ro/shop/";
woof_really_curr_tax=[];

Please do a  test

Nope, it doesn`t work. To test go to this category link Mese – Add2

and search for this keyword that is in product titles from other category ->"scaun"

My  test  -https://c2n.me/4cTp9Ng

It works, Thank you!

I think it was the browser cash.

Welcome;)

Hello, the new implemented search by text does not working with the custom code you helped me before in order to search by default in all categories even if in the moment of searching you are in a certain category.

Can you help me with a adaptation for the custome code?

Here is the old code inserted in the new by_text_2.js

https://clip2net.com/s/4fRM5aN

woof_current_page_link ="https://boucle.ro/magazin/";
woof_really_curr_tax=[];

p.s. my site was rebranded from add2.ro to boucle.ro

I think this feature should be easy accesible (google works the same).

Than you
