If we purchase the above Plugin do we need to retain the existing Plugin - WooCommerce Advanced Ajax Layered Navigation active on our site.

Sorry, I don't know this third party plugin.  Please  do a test  with  a  free version - https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-products-filter/
