Products showing even though no variants have stock

I have several variable products with an attribute called Program and I'm filtering on pa_program=virtual-after-school-10-week. Currently all of the variants for virtual-after-school-10-week have zero stock and no price set. So I would not expect them to show in the filtering results. But when I visit this page which filters to virtual-after-school-10-week I see a whole bunch of products. These should not be showing since none of these products have any variant with virtual-after-school-10-week in stock. Is this a bug in the plugin?
