I believe this is a common problem and I have seen previous tickets as well.

Here is my page http://hfangling.trcreative.website/?s=strike&post_type=product&dgwt_wcas=1

So I have entered keyword"strike" which return 59 results. But take a look at the filters on left. Its actually showing all products count, not related to search result.

I know you suggest using"Search By Text" extension but the client requested to search into"Brand" name as well which is product attribute(taxonomy).

So I had to use default WordPress search feature which works fine and looks into attributes too.

Now to solve this filter issue, there are 2 options

  1. You make changes in the"Search by Text" extension so that it can search into attributes/taxonomies too.
  2. Make the filters compatible with default search results. This is a very essential feature.

Looking forward to have some solution for this problem.

Thank You,

Aslam

1 Unfortunately, our text search does not work with taxonomies. We do not plan to add this feature in the near future.

2 Plugin is not compatible with third party filters
