Product filter in Mega Menu

I am trying to add the woocommerce filters to a mega menu. I can put the shortcode and it displays but the toggles do not work & it does not submit. Is there any way to do this.
Also I would like to limit the subcategories displayed and I would like them as drop down selections, instead fo toggles.
Please can you help.

If you go to http://cm.mpaddev.com/products/ you can filter the products using the WOOF filter and it works perfectly.
I would like a similar filter but in the navigation menu at the top of the page. So the user may not be on the products page and be able to filter from the menu. They should have the ability to select items from category dropdowns and click filter, then it takes you to the products page filtered to those items.
The site https://www.artistictile.com/ has this exact feature in their navigation menu at the top.

Please can you let me know how I can add a filter to the top menu, either using a shortcode or some other method. I do not want the entire filter that is on the Product page, just select categories.

That is a step in the right direction but it doesn't work.

It is showing the whole menu but not the child categories and there is no search button.
I would like a drop down list for each Main Category that contains all the sub categories.

Plugin cannot split one taxonomy into multiple filters.
Then a search button on the bottom - Please add attribute - autosubmit=0

Clicking the filter button does not do anything. The + on the main categories does not expand the list of categories.
It should go to the Products page and filter the items. Also, how do I change the categories to drop-down lists, instead of checkboxes?
I really don't mind paying for advanced tech support or custom coding for this, I just really need to get it working. Please help, Thanks

Looks like I got the problem. https://c2n.me/47q4jIf - As you can see this menu works like this: part of the code"menu" is added after this, part of the code is deleted. The problem is that after adding this code, you need to initialize the JS scripts for correct filter operation( this must be done for any menu item that has JS ). In fact, the plugin in the menu simply does not have JS functionality
