Hello Pablo,

Trust you are well?

We would like to do the following - please advise if this would be possible.

  1. Pre-set Fields
    We have a few products that you can filter with the side filters (great), but we would like to assist customers in the journey of purchases. So for example:
    We will create a page with a question: Do you use it indoor or outdoor?
    The answer then needs to filter all the products to indoor only products and/or outdoor products - for this example let's do outdoor.

    Next Question: Will it be used on sea or land: Answer Sea, then all the products applicable to sea should be filtered.
    Next Question: Do you need 4G or 5G: Answer 5G, then all the products offering 5G should be displayed.

    So then when a client view the result the side filters should be pre-selected with the resulting products displayed.

  2. Our product database are compatible with accessories. We want to the accessories asigned to the products based a filter value.
    Eg. All products have a value of Signal Strength between 1-5 and 6-10. Now the accessories compatibility depends on the signal strength of the product.

    So we want if the client want to know if they can use a [Brand Name, Brand Model Accessory] on a Main product they should be able to filter all the products that will be compatible with this specific brand accessory based on the signal strenght defined by the main product.

    E.g. An Apple plug, model 1.2 is compatible with Appel A, Bannana Z and Peach K. (Apple A, Bannana Z and Peach K all have a signal Strenght of 1-5).
    BUT they need to filter by accessory: BRAND and then MODEL.

Hello

  1. In this case, you need to generate a link with a search query. An  example:  http://your_site.com/shop/?swoof=1&pa_color=black&product_cat=clothing
  2. In this case, these products must contain these attributes.

Hi Pablo,

Thank you for the response. So i need to undertstand the following please./

1. Is the generated search query link a module I need to activate within the woof plugin? or custom code?
2. I have managed to give all the products the same attributes but the Hierarchy drop-down does not want to work like your locations Hierarchy drop-down.
Does this module ONLY work with custom post type categories or can we use a product category instead of a custom post type?

Currently I managed to assign all my attributes to the product categories but cannot get the filter to work like the locations Hierarchy drop-down. Please advice.
