plugin has stopped working after update to 2.2.9

i had 2.2.7 working fine, no longer works. no autosubmit - page does not reload after making any filter changes. used to do it - and the reset button has disappeared.
what have i done wrong, or what has changed with the update? Thank you for your help, sir.

it seems to no longer be working in brave; i've cleared the cache but the issue persists. as brave is my primary browser, this is why i saw this issue first. i'll investigate further. you are correct; it's working fine in Firefox and Safari. Thank you for taking the time to help me!
