I have a custom layout for the product category pages, I have inserted the filter but the parent category is not selectable, is it possible to make it selectable? thankyou

On the category page you can only select a child category because any other category will give zero products.
I entered the code let me know if it's ok. Regarding my request, is it possible to hide the parent category and leave only the choices based on the category? Or is it possible to insert a basic filter in the category page that also considers the other possible categories?

This is a very logical behavior. On the category page, you can show ONLY products that belong to the category OR child category. It makes sense to show only child categories( of the current category ), because clicking on any other category will always give zero products )
