My products have the same name for sub-categories across all parent categories.  For example:

Rods
    Casting
Combos
    Casting

Each sub-category has its own, unique term and term_taxonomy id's.  When using the Woof filter, when I try to view the products under the parent category"Rods" I can see all the products that area also in the category"Combos>Casting".  Is there a way around this without having to rename any sub-categories.

I couldn't see how to delete my post but I've solved my own problem.  I needed to include the term"product_cat=" in my urls in the store menu.

It's not fixed after all.  Still need help with this.

Hello

I checked  your  site - I'm not sure I understood you correctly.  Looks like it works correctly.

Category names do not affect the search result. only the category slug matters - but it must be unique to the category

I've attached an image to show you an example of what I'm talking about.  When you go to shop page you can see all the products in the store.  From there when you try to filter by category, the counts displayed don't match the actual counts.  There are 417 products in the main category"Combos" but the filter is showing 979.  When you select"Combos" you will see items from other categories along with filters for those items.  The db count is correct and the filter count is incorrect.  This is happening across all main categories even though they all have totally unique names.

Since I wrote the first post in this thread, I change all the sub-category names to be completely unique.  In other words, What was Reels>Baitcast and Combos>Baitcast is now Reels>Reel Baitcast and Combos>Combos Baitcast.  Now the sub-categories work correctly but the main categories don't.

Count Discrepancy

I should also mention that there is other buggy behavior like most of the time, the reset button doesn't work or the filter works properly but the selected filters don't show in their respective filter fields.

The url might say"[domain]/product-category/combos/?swoof=1&paged=1&really_curr_tax=4328-product_cat" but the page will show all products, completely ignoring the url.  Then if you reload the page, it shows"no products found".

There might be too many issues to fix and I'm hopeful I can get a refund for the plugin if that proves true.

Hello

Ok! Please  drop  me  wp-admin-FTP access  - https://c2n.me/42BAoj4.png

Can I deactivate  plugins/theme to test?

Yesterday, I discovered that even with your plugin disabled and a theme change, the same incorrect results happen for the categories.  Just now, I tried adding a test product and moving it around to different categories.  When I did that, everything seemed to self-correct.  I re-enabled your plugin and it's working correctly.  I don't know what happened but maybe you do.  In any event, I think we can close this ticket now.  Thanks for your efforts.

Hello

Great! Welcome;)

I'm back.  I wish I wasn't.  I'm now getting"No products found" when I try to filter by attributes.  I can't find any reason for it.  I've examined the wp_terms, wp_term_taxonomy, wp_term_relationships, wp_postmeta and wp_post tables and I don't see any missing connections.  Again, the counts show that products do exist but when selected, no products are found.  I've posted the necessary information for you to go in to our staged site via wp-admin and http://ftp.  Do what is necessary to help us get to the bottom of this.  Again, it's a staged site so you won't be affecting any live traffic.

Hello

Please  check  your  wp-admin access

Try  to test:  disable  my plugin and  use  link - http://staged.reelerz.com/product-category/rods/?pa_power=extra-light   OR  http://staged.reelerz.com/product-category/rods/?pa_power=extra-heavy

I fixed your wp-admin access.  So sorry about that.

Here's the thing.  I'm importing the products from csv files with a custom script.  I am not able to filter outside of your plugin as you thought was the case.  I can't find anything wrong with my imported data so here's what I tried next.

I emptied all the tables to start from scratch.  Then I manually added several products with newly added attributes.   WPWC couldn't filter by those attributes either.  I've checked the tables for any damage.  It was working just fine but I have to reimport the data over and over because the client makes changes or I find and fix an error in the code.  After one of the imports it stopped working and now nothing seems to fix it.

I know now it has nothing to do with your plugin and I don't expect anymore help on this but I'm assuming you're pretty comfortable with the WPWC DB structure as it applies to attributes and could maybe think of any reason this might be happening.

UPDATE:  I found a conflict that I had created.  It was pretty stupid but I had added a function to display grouped products.  Something I had copied from a post I found online.  I did notice that the callable name was"woocommerce_parse_query" which of course conflicted with your plugins function.  I'm super hopeful nothing else breaks.  So far, it's working.

Hello

Great!
