overlay not showing when default is selected for overlay skin option

When having"default" selected as the"overlay skins" option, the overlay itself does not work, thus customers are able to continue to select filters. This causes confusion as the filters they selected after the first disappear (or get reset) when the"Loading" message goes away and the screen is reload via ajax. All other selection options of the"overlay skins" work as expected with the overlay appear as the loader is active on the screen.

"default" - Yes. this"overlay skin" does not overlap the screen.
May I open a feature request to either add an overlay to the default or have it as an option please?
