New Update - Taxonomy custom label

I update plugin today to v.2.2.5
. Until then taxonomy custom label were shown inside the drop-down box. Now drop-down bow says"select an option" and I cannot replace that with another label and I cannot translate the sentence in French.

For now I put taxonomy custom label on top of the drop-down box but it's not pretty and I cannot change the size of the font...
Can you tell me how to put text back inside the drop-down box ? And how to change the font (maybe with CSS ?) Thank you !
